From May 29 to June 6, 2026, the Ye Lab embarked on a productive academic tour across Slovakia and Austria. The delegation—led by Dr. Cunqi Ye and including PhD students Tong Zhang and Can Miao—visited the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) in Bratislava at the invitation of Dr. Mária Balážová, the Medical University of Innsbruck at the invitation of Dr. David Teis, and attended the Yeast Lipid Conference 2026 (YLC2026) in Graz, Austria.
During the institutional visits, Dr. Ye delivered an invited research seminar titled "Spatiotemporal Logic for the Membrane Glycerophospholipidome" at both SAS and the Medical University of Innsbruck. He also gave a featured talk at YLC2026, titled "Asymmetric Inheritance of Phospholipid Is an Intrinsic Defect of Lipid Diversity," sharing the lab's latest breakthroughs in lipid biology.
The lab's PhD students actively contributed to the scientific exchange. In Bratislava, Can Miao and Tong Zhang presented their recent research progress during an internal seminar hosted by the Department of Membrane Biochemistry at SAS. At YLC2026 in Graz, they showcased their work through poster presentations, engaging in vibrant discussions with international colleagues and fellow attendees.
